The house had been recently purchased by a wonderful retired couple. They hired Earthly Arts to take out the hedges and other shrubs that needed frequent clipping and to install a simple, low maintenance garden that could be enjoyed by the homeowners and passers by. However, this garden was on route to a nearby dog park, so boulders were installed to encourage dogs to pee on them instead of the plants. Many California native plants were installed as well as plants that provide nectar for insects such as beneficial wasps, bees, and butterflies.
