At first, this typical adorable Berkeley Cottage was set in an overgrown weed patch. The client wanted a low maintenance garden with low water plants, surrounding a small lawn for her young child to play on. The garden was intended to not only look beautiful from the house and street, but also to be kid friendly. To achieve this, all paths were mulch to soften falls, plants were non-toxic if accidentally consumed and were not prickly or sharp in any way.
